Dr. Luke Sankey
As Director of Engineering, Dr. Sankey works closely with the rest of the leadership
team to assist in the daily activities of the engineering team, and he serves as a
technical leader at SIE for electrical, mechanical, systems, and other engineering
disciplines.
His professional engineering career began in 2000 at Honeywell Aerospace, where he
developed software and firmware for commercial and military avionics systems. His most
recent role prior to joining SIE was at FIRST RF Corporation, a top tier antenna and RF
systems engineering and production company. During his time there, his
multi-disciplinary engineering expertise was enjoined with business, management, and
fiscal responsibilities. Luke directed the radar antenna division for the last seven
years and his division successfully developed and deployed several ground-based and
airborne active phased array radar antenna systems at affordable costs and in compressed
schedules. He has enjoyed working with a wide variety of small and midsize businesses,
multiple prime contractors, and many government entities.
Dr. Sankey received his PhD in RF Engineering in 2010 from the University of Colorado,
Boulder.
