Mike Frederickson
Mike is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Systems Innovation Engineering
(SIE). Mike has been involved in systems engineering for the past 30 years,
specifically aimed at improving DoD system affordability and industrial base
supplier resiliency. Mike has been involved in strategically developing and
enabling collaborative initiatives by aligning R&D investments with logistics and
acquisition.
Mike was the Director of the Office of Naval Research (ONR) Electronics
Manufacturing Technology Center from 1996 to 2017 where he was responsible for
developing and executing technology programs that directly improved the
affordability of Navy platforms and sensor systems.
Mike graduated with honors from California State University, San Bernardino with
a Bachelor of Science in Physics. He has been involved in the development and
deployment of advanced process controls for the electronics industry, and holds
numerous patents that have been successfully transitioned to the electronics
industry in the fields of process control technology and electrochemistry. Mike
retired from the U.S. Air Force in August 2001 with his last position as the
Commander of the 122 Logistics Support Flight, Ft. Wayne, Indiana.
